In July of 2019, butterflies rising published the poem ‘little by little, i’m learning to love myself. and it might be slow… but i’m certain in letting go of all the things that tell me i shouldn’t.’. The poem is in her book ‘wild spirit, soft heart’, and was written about her own journey into self-love. For butterflies rising, the poem is about how this has been a gradual process of shedding thoughts and feelings of unworthiness and growing out of limiting beliefs about herself. So many of these thoughts and beliefs started when she was really young, so they are things she has been fighting through most of her life, so the journey is taking patience and faith, but she is determined.
