In February 2019, butterflies rising published the poem ‘sweet girl, it wasn’t that you weren’t enough, it’s your energy… it asks others to rise up‘. The poem that is in her book ‘wild spirit, soft heart’, was written after she went through a difficult breakup. Over the years, when sharing the poem, butterflies rising would often get comments from men that they related to the piece and have experienced going through this as well, so she published a 2nd version of the poem called ‘sweet soul, it wasn’t that you weren’t enough’ to be a genderless version so that it could include anyone who may connect to the words.
